Everyone was able to make it through the cold last weekend. At least it was a sunny day on Sunday for the race. In fact, I wish all race days could be as nice. Cold, no wind, blue sky, and fast.
This weekend may be interesting. "IF" the storm comes our way and delivers the forecasted snow we should get some great powder skiing. So please plan on bringing both race skis and skis to go out and play in the deep snow both days It may not be safe to try and train with measurable snow. And never forget how important free skiing is to the development and refinement of skills. Pole swing, proper athletic stance, and active movement are needed not only in the race course but in free skiing!
